Throughout the pattern I will refer to the plain yarn as Yarn A and the variegated yarn as Yarn B. I selected yarn B randomly throughout the pattern.

Special stitches
| 2 Loop Puff (or HTC2Tog) | (a puff stitch made of only 2 loops)- yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop, yarn over (3 loops on hook), insert hook, pull up a loop, yarn over (5 loops on hook), complete stitch. Chain 1 to close. This is also known as a half treble crochet 2 together (htc2tog). |
