The kid's advent calendars were delivered by our imaginatively named elf Mr. Elf yesterday and as is traditional we of course had to have the talk about how in our day advent calendars were made of paper with a picture behind each door and how we had to share with our siblings before hopping to school because we had to share shoes too. It's a nice juxtaposition to see the children enjoying a daily treat while I'm working on a daily creation.

For day 2 of my advent adventure I'm continuing the gold tones with a dark orange. I've also decided to leave the final round and use it to do a seamless join-as-you-go on the completed project. It's not something I've done often as it's fiddlier but given the time constraints I've put myself under it'll probably work out much faster.
